ARTWORK GUIDELINES

Hey there! If you're looking for the best possible print results and would like more control over details such as resolution, color mode, bleed, cut lines, and fine artwork elements, this guide is for you.

For standard orders, simply upload the best-quality file you have, and our team will review it before production.

Professional Artwork Checklist

For the most accurate and consistent print results, we recommend:

  1. Providing vector artwork whenever possible: AI, EPS, PDF, or SVG
  2. Preparing raster artwork at 300 PPI at the final print size
  3. Using CMYK color mode
  4. Including bleed and cut lines where required
  5. Converting fonts to outlines
  6. Checking small text, line weights, and important design details

1. File Formats

We accept both vector and raster artwork. For projects requiring maximum sharpness, accurate scaling, or precise custom cut lines, vector artwork is strongly recommended.

Vector Files - Preferred

AI, EPS, PDF, SVG

Vector files can be resized without losing quality and are ideal for logos, typography, fine details, and custom cut paths.

Raster Files - Accepted

JPG, JPEG, PNG, PSD, TIFF

Raster artwork can also produce excellent results when supplied at a sufficient resolution and at the intended print size.

Quality Note

Low-resolution, compressed, or enlarged raster images may appear soft, blurry, or pixelated when printed. Whenever possible, please provide the original artwork rather than a screenshot or image downloaded from social media.

2. Resolution & Image Quality

For professional-quality raster printing, artwork should be prepared at 300 PPI at the final print size.

Resolution is evaluated based on the actual size at which the artwork will be printed. Enlarging a small image does not improve its original detail and may result in visible pixelation or softness.

Recommended Setup

  • 300 PPI at the final print size
  • Original, uncompressed artwork whenever possible
  • No screenshots or web-preview images
  • Small text and fine details checked at actual size

Artwork Review

If we notice that the resolution may significantly affect the final print quality, we'll contact you before production and recommend the best available solution.

3. Cut Lines & Safe Areas

Safe Area

Keep important text, logos, QR codes, and essential design elements at least 1/16 inch（1.5mm）inside the cut line.

Cut Lines

Standard shapes such as circles, squares, rectangles, and ovals generally do not require a custom cut path.

For die-cut stickers, the cut line will normally follow the outer contour of your artwork.

If you require a specific cut shape or placement, please clearly mark the intended cut line in your uploaded file. For the most accurate result, provide the cut line as a closed vector path on a separate layer whenever possible.

Important Note

Minor cutting variation is normal during production. Avoid placing borders, text, or other critical elements directly against the cut line.

4. Color Mode & Color Accuracy

Our printing process uses CMYK color reproduction. For greater control over printed color, we recommend preparing professional artwork in CMYK mode.

CMYK and RGB

Artwork supplied in RGB will be converted to CMYK before printing. Because the RGB color range includes some bright and highly saturated colors that cannot be reproduced exactly in CMYK, visible color shifts may occur during conversion.

Screen-to-Print Differences

Colors displayed on phones, tablets, and computer monitors may differ from printed colors due to screen brightness, calibration, material, finish, and lighting conditions.

Brand and Color-Sensitive Projects

If your project includes important brand colors or specific color references, please provide the relevant CMYK values or reference colors and contact us before placing your order. We'll review the requirements and let you know what level of color consistency can be achieved.

For large-volume orders or projects with strict color requirements, we recommend ordering a printed sample first.

Digital Proofs

Digital proofs are intended to confirm artwork placement, spelling, dimensions, and cut lines. They should not be treated as an exact representation of final printed color.

5. Fonts, Small Text & Line Weights

Fine details may reproduce differently depending on the print size, material, finish, contrast, and artwork construction. Please review all small elements carefully at the final print size.

Typography

  • Recommended minimum font size: 6 pt
  • Use strong contrast between text and background
  • Avoid extremely thin, condensed, or low-contrast typefaces
  • Check reversed text, especially light text printed on dark backgrounds

Convert Fonts to Outlines

When submitting editable vector files, convert all fonts to outlines or curves to prevent missing-font and substitution issues.

Line Thickness

  • Recommended minimum line weight: 1 pt
  • Lines below 1 pt may print inconsistently or become less visible
  • Light-colored lines may require additional thickness
  • Reversed lines may need to be heavier than dark lines on a light background

Fine Details

Very small gaps, dots, textures, and intricate patterns may fill in, soften, or become less visible during printing. Whenever possible, simplify extremely fine elements before submitting the final artwork.

6. Our Proofing Process

Step 1: File Submission

Upload your artwork when placing your order. Please include any relevant notes regarding size, cut shape, orientation, color, or placement.

Step 2: Technical Review

Our pre-press team reviews the artwork for major production concerns, including resolution, dimensions, margins, bleed, and cut-line placement.

Step 3: Digital Proof

A digital proof will be provided for your review. If we identify an issue that may significantly affect production or print quality, we’ll contact you before proceeding.

Step 4: Customer Approval

Please carefully verify:

  • Spelling and content
  • Artwork orientation
  • Final dimensions
  • Design placement
  • Cut-line position
  • Quantity and design variations

Step 5: Production

Once the proof is approved, the order will move into production. Changes requested after approval may require additional time or fees.
