KikoGuard™ Vinyl is StickerKiko's material standard for custom stickers: flexible vinyl film, weather-resistant adhesive, a separate protective laminate, and a clean-peel release liner.

Together they resist water, UV fading, scratching and tearing through everyday hand washes and 3–5 years outdoors. It's not an add-on. It's the baseline.

Here's what each layer does, and where it holds up.

    How KikoGuard™ Vinyl Perform?

We tested every layer before we shipped it. Here's what holds up and where it doesn't.

    Water Resistance

    • Rain, spills, condensation and hand washing don't lift or blur a KikoGuard™ sticker. Edges stay flat. No ink bleed, no clouding under the laminate.
    • Holds up on: water bottles, tumblers for daily washing and kitchen jars, cosmetic packaging, anything that meets a sink.

    Weathering (Sun, Rain & Temperature)

    • Colors stay true through a full year outdoors. No cracking, no edge curl, no yellowing at the adhesive. Freezing nights and hot dashboards don't change that.
    • Holds up on: car windows and bumpers, bike frames, helmets, coolers, tool cases, outdoor signage, mailbox and window decals.

    Scratch & Abrasion Resistance

    • The laminate is a sacrificial layer — it takes the wear so your artwork doesn't. Backpack rub, desk contact, repeated handling: the print underneath stays sharp.
    • Holds up on: laptops, backpacks, skateboards, phone cases, notebooks, shipping boxes that get handled in transit.
    • Note: Keys and blades will still cut through. Nothing at this thickness won't.

    Chemical & Oil Resistance

    • Hand sanitizer, alcohol wipes, sunscreen, cooking oil, hand grease. None of it transfers ink, softens the laminate or dulls the finish.
    • Holds up on: water bottles, kitchen jars, gym gear, car interiors, beauty and food packaging.
    • Note: Dirty, oily or heavily textured surfaces won't form. Clean and dry the surface first.

    Different Materials, Same KikoGuard™ Build

KikoGuard™ construction is available with different vinyl surfaces. These effects come from the vinyl construction itself. They are not printed imitations placed on standard white vinyl.

    FAQ

    Are they dishwasher safe?

Yes. Our stickers are dishwasher safe and designed to withstand repeated washing, moisture, condensation, and normal dishwasher temperatures without ink bleeding or the edges lifting.

How long do they last outdoors?

A full year in direct weather — sun, rain, freezing nights, hot dashboards. No fading, cracking or edge curl. Indoors and on handled items like laptops, considerably longer.

Will they stick to my surface?

Glass, stainless steel, acrylic, powder-coated metal and coated packaging all hold well, including curved bottles and helmets. Polypropylene (PP) is the exception — it's a low-surface-energy plastic that resists all standard adhesives. Check for a ♷ mark on the base; if PP is your main surface, contact us before ordering.

How do I prep the surface before applying stickers?

Wipe with isopropyl alcohol and let it dry completely, then press firmly. Oils and dust are the most common reason a sticker lifts — more common than the adhesive itself.

    Will the artwork scratch off?

The laminate is a sacrificial layer — it takes the backpack rub, desk contact and daily handling so the print underneath stays sharp. Keys and blades will still cut through. Nothing at this thickness won't.
